Brittany accepted Christ as her Savior and got baptized!!! PRAISE THE LAMB!!!

On Saturday, June 23rd 2012, after our nightly Bible story we prayed as usual with the girls.  Brittany prayed to God asking that He'd help her and "sissy" (Caitlin) to get saved.  I (Scott) talked with her and double checked her understanding and reminded her that God's already done His part and all that's needed to be saved is to "open His present" that he's already offered to each of us.  She said she wanted to get saved right then.  We waited an hour and a half or so and talked it over again.  Sure enough she knew it all and believed it all and then chose to accept His all!!!

Later we told Brittany about baptism and what it means and how it's simply an outward expression of your belief and identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection (we used simpler words though).  We left it up to her if she wanted to get baptized and she wanted to.  That was a big decision for a girl afraid of sticking her head under water in the swimming pool.  Two and a half weeks later she still wanted to and so she and Daddy went to chat with our acting pastor Chuck Nicholson.  She expressed herself very well and answered his questions confirming her understanding of salvation and of baptism.

And so here are some pics that we'd like to share from our special celebration after Sunday morning services on July 8th 2012.

Brittany is now sure about being heaven bound based on God's grace and mercy.
You can be too!

Are you 100% sure you are
going to heaven?
Here is how you can be 100% sure that you are going to Heaven based on what the Bible says.
Do you know Christ as your personal Savior?
Have you ever received the Lord Jesus Christ into your life?
Realize that God loves you and has a plan for your life. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
The Bible says that all men are Sinners.
Our sins have separated us from God. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
God made man in His own image.
He gave man the ability to choose right from wrong. We choose to sin. Our sins keep us from God.
God’s Word also says that sin must be paid for.
“For the wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23
Wages means payment. The payment of our sin is death and hell, separation from God forever. If we continue in our sin, we shall die without Christ and be without God forever.
The Good News is that Christ paid for our sins.
All of our sins were laid on Christ on the cross. He paid our sin debt for us. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, and He arose from the dead. He is alive forevermore.
“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
We must personally pray and receive Christ by faith.
The Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
Pray and receive Christ as your Savior
Lord, I know that I am a sinner. If I died today, I would not go to heaven. Forgive my sin, come into my life and be my Savior. Help me live for you from this day forward. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
The Bible says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13
New Life
Everlasting life begins when we receive Christ as our Savior.
